Cumulus Media has promoted CHR 104.1 KRBE Houston Program Director Leslie Whittle to Vice President of Hot AC formats for the company.
Whittle will continue to program KRBE in her new role. She has been with the station since 2000 and rose from APD to Program Director in 2006. She has also worked at “96.7 Kiss-FM” KHFI Austin during her career, where she started as an intern and rose to PD.
She fills the position that was held by Rob Roberts until the completion of the sale of 107.3 WRQX Washington DC earlier this year.
CUMULUS MEDIA announces that it has promoted veteran radio programming professional Leslie Whittle as Vice President, Hot AC Formats. In her new role, Whittle will serve as a corporate programming resource for the company’s HOT AC-formatted stations across the U.S. Whittle continues in her role as Program Director for CUMULUS MEDIA’s KRBE in Houston.
Whittle started her radio career at KHFI in Austin, TX, where she ultimately became Program Director. She joined KRBE in 2000 as Assistant Program Director and was named Program Director for the station in 2006. Whittle has been honored for her work with awards including a Marconi Award for CHR Station of the Year 2017 and The Conclave’s Major Market Station of the Year 2018.
