iHeartMedia will launch Sports “Fox Sports The Gambler” on 1480 WDAS/102.5 W273DO/105.3 WDAS-HD2 Philadelphia on Monday, August 26.
The new format will replace the Variety Hits/Medical Info “Breakthrough Radio” programming done in partnership with Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia since September 2017. The new format will feature a local afternoon show focusing on sports betting information hosted by PhillyInfluencer.com owner Sean Brace. Brace previously spent seven years at Beasley Media Sports “97.5 The Fanatic” WPEN-FM serving as a producer and host from 2008 through 2015.
The remainder of the station’s lineup will feature the national Fox Sports Radio lineup including “Outkick The Coverage with Clay Travis” in mornings from 6-9am, Dan Patrick from 9am-12pm, Colin Cowherd from 12-3pm and “Straight Outta Vegas with RJ Bell” from 6-7pm. .
104.1 W281BI Trenton NJ, which also carried the Breakthrough Radio programming, will not carry the new format since Fox Sports Radio is already heard on Townsquare Media’s “920 The Jersey” WNJE Trenton. An iHeartMedia representative says plans for W281BI are to be determined.
iHeartMedia Philadelphia announced today the debut of FOX Sports Radio, The Gambler. The new station will create the ultimate destination for Sports Talk in the Philadelphia community and will broadcast on 1480 AM, 102.5 FM (translator W273DO) and 105.3 HD2 beginning August 26 at 3 p.m. Listeners can also tune in on the devices they use the most via the iHeartRadio app.
The Gambler will feature FOX Sport’s compelling and entertaining brand of Sports Talk programming including “The Herd with Colin Cowherd,” “The Dan Patrick Show,” “Outkick the Coverage with Clay Travis,” “Straight Outta Vegas with RJ Bell” and others, as well as “The Daily Ticket” hosted by Sean Brace, owner of phillyinfluencer.com, a well-known local sports website.
