The former “Kickin’ 103.5” 1030 WEBS/103.5 W278CD Calhoun GA has been sold by Radio WEBS to James Powell for $1 plus the assumption of $125,000 in debt. Powell is divesting his stake in Calhoun Community Radio’s 107.7 WJRP-LP Calhoun to make the purchase. WJRP-LP was co-located in the facility of WEBS prior to 1030/103.5 being foreclosed upon and signing off in August.
George Arroyo’s Q-Broadcasting Corporation has acquired Silent 790 WLBE Leesburg-Eustis FL from Wendy Wolf’s WLBE 790 Inc. for $75,000. The deal includes an immediate Time Brokerage Agreement to bring the station back on the air which entails an STA to operate with only 250 watts at night due to a failed switching system.
Davis Media is selling 106.3 WUDE Bolivia NC to Jeff Andrulonis’ Colonial Radio Group for $230,000. WUDE is part of a Country simulcast as “The Dude” with 93.7 WNTB Topsail Beach/Wilmington NC, while Colonial operates three stations in the adjacent Myrtle Beach SC market.
Just south of Portland, Celebrate Life Network sells Oldies 1260 KLYC McMinnville OR and the CP for 99.1 K256DF McMinnville to Wesley Simkins’ Promedia Partners for $8,000 plus the assumption of $2,362.50 owed to broker Rockwell Media Services. An LMA took effect on September 15.
Idaho Community Action Network sells Spanish Christian “Voz Latino” 91.9 KBWE Burley ID to Tu Voz Inc. for $15,000.
