The FCC has announced it will hold an auction on April 28, 2020 for up to 130 FM signals.
Minimum opening bids range from $750 to $100,000. The list of signals being offered includes 34 that were not sold or defaulted at previous auctions and other allocations that have been surrendered such as 107.9 Sacramento. The auction will utilize the FCC’s usual multiple round system and information on the bidding requirements can be found here.
Beyond the 107.9 Sacramento (which holds the high minimum opening bid of $100,000), other notable allocations being offered include a Class A on 106.9 in Fort Walton Beach FL for $60,000, a Class A rimshot of Burlington VT licensed to Keeseville NY on 94.1 for $45,000, two Class A’s on the eastern end of Long Island (94.5 Sagaponack and 103.3 Shelter Island) for $45,000, and a C3 on 104.1 in Sanger TX (replacing the former KTDK) for $75,000.
