Forever Media has flipped Gospel “Faith 1510” WFAI Salem NJ to Adult R&B with the addition of 96.9 W245CJ Wilmington DE.
Now branded as “Jammin 96.9” under new WVJJ calls, the format creates a locally targeted competitor to iHeartMedia’s 105.3 WDAS-FM and Radio-One’s cluster in Philadelphia. The station will add The Tom Joyner Morning Show for the final two months of its run.
WFAI Program Director Jay Nyce takes on the same duties for the new WVJJ format.
Forever Media purchased the former Spanish Tropical “Ritmo 96.9” W245CJ from Ritmo Broadcasting in August for $275,000. The company acquired WVJJ as part of its $18.5 million acquisition of Delmarva Broadcasting earlier this year.
