“ESPN 98.7” WEPN-FM New York has announced the addition of Chris Carlin as 7-10pm evening host starting January 2.
Carlin, most recently part of the CMB Show on 660 WFAN/101.9 WFAN-FM with Bart Scott and Maggie Gray that replaced Mike Francesa in afternoons in January 2018, before being moved to 1-3pm after Francesa return from retirement after just a couple of months had exited the Entercom station in September.
Carlin began his career at WFAN in 1995 as an intern and later served as executive producer of Mike & The Mad Dog, overnight host, and as update anchor on Don Imus’ and Boomer & Carton’s morning shows. In 2008, he joined SportsNet New York where he co-hosted Loud Mouths, SportsNite, and New York Mets pre and post-game shows while continuing to occasionally fill-in at WFAN. Carlin then join edSports 94.1 WIP Philadelphia hosting afternoons with Ike Reese in October 2016 until his move back to WFAN. He will continue to serve as the radio play-by-play voice for Rutgers University football, a position he has held since 2004.
Current 7-10pm host Alan Hahn is expected to move to the 1-3pm slot currently held by Stephen A. Smith’s national show with Bart Scott.
