Townsquare Media Hot AC “Now 97.7” WCZX Hyde Park/Poughkeepsie NY has dropped its format and is promoting its joining the simulcast of Country “94.3/97.3 The Wolf” WKXP Kingston/WZAD Wurtsboro on Monday, January 6.
WCZX is currently running a separate Country playlist than WKXP/WZAD and running sweepers promoting “Country Music has a new home in the Hudson Valley on 97.7” as the station prepares to increase its competition with iHeartMedia’s heritage Country 107.3 WRWD-FM Highland/99.3 WRWB-FM Ellenville.
In the Spring 2019 Nielsen Audio ratings, WRWD had a 2.9 share to WKXP’s 2.2. WCZX also held a 2.2 with a format led by Brooke & Jubal in the morning.
