A year after launching as a Rhythmic AC, SummitMedia shifted “103.9 The Groove” WRKA Louisville to Adult R&B over the holidays.
The move eliminated any pop crossover remaining from the playlist from the likes of Justin Timberlake and Ed Sheeran. It places the station in direct competition with Alpha Media’s “Majic 101.3” WMJM.
Along with the musical shift, WRKA will begin airing Reach Media’s Rickey Smiley Show on Monday, January 6 as that show makes its move to targeting Adult R&B stations.
