iHeartMedia CHR “Channel 93.3” KHTS-FM El Cajon/San Diego will reunite Geena The Latina and ‘Frankie V’ Vinci in mornings.
The duo previously hosted mornings at the station from 2010 through 2015 when Frankie moved to mornings at “Jam’n 94.5” WJMN Boston. He returned to iHeart San Diego to first host afternoons at Rhythmic CHR “Jam’n 95.7” KSSX in 2016 and then moved to mornings the following year.
The move comes as Steve Kramer, who replaced Vinci in 2015, exited as part of last week’s layoffs.
While the show was branded as “Frankie & Geena” the first time around, their billing will be reversed. The morning show’s social media has already been changed to @GeenaAndFrankie.
Beto Perez, who served as a mixer on Frankie’s KSSX morning show and hosts afternoons at “Rock 105.3” KIOZ, takes over mornings at “Jam’n 95.7“. Perez previously hosted nights at KSSX.
