Northern Broadcasting continues to break apart its Northern Michigan holdings as it sells the former “ESPN 106.7” WSRT Gaylord/Traverse City and 98.3 W252DA Petoskey to Macdonald Garber Broadcasting for $215,000. WSRT and then simulcaster 105.5 WSRJ Honor went Silent in December as Northern Broadcasting began winding down operations.
WSRT will join a MacDonald Garber cluster that also includes AC “Lite 96.3” WLXT Petoskey, Country “96.7 The Bull” WLXV Cadillac, CHR “106 KHQ” 105.9 WKHQ-FM Charlevoix, News/Talk “Rush Radio 1240” WATT Cadillac, Talk 1270 WMKT Charlevoix/102.3 W272CR Petoskey/103.3 W277DY Petoskey, and Sports “1340 The Ticket” WMBN/104.7 W284DF Petoskey. Patricia MacDonald Garber also owns a controlling 52% stake in Playtime Media’s Variety Hits “104.5 Bob-FM” WZTC Traverse City.

Cool Radio LLC sells AAA “103.9 The Mammoth” KSNO-FM Snowmass Village/Aspen CO to Rocky Mountain Radio Group for $200,000. The deal includes a Time Brokerage Agreement that began on March 1 and a Sales Consultancy Agreement with seller Tom Dobrez for five years. Rocky Mountain Radio Group also owns Classic Rock “104.7 The Mile” KKVM Vail and Alternative “97.7 The Zephyr” KZYR Avon CO.

Middle Tennessee Broadcasting sells Classic Hits 101.7 WKOM and AC “Muletown Radio” 1340 WKRM/103.7 W279DL Columbia TN to Sam Delk Kennedy Jr. for $1,050,000. An LMA took effect on February 27.
After selling 94.3 KCMC-FM Mountain Home AR to Jay Brentlinger’s Broadcast Industry Group for $5,000 last week, High Plains Radio Network sells 690 KAFN/99.3 K257GP Benton, 1310 KZYP Malvern/104.1 K281CK Sheridan, 1240 KVRC Arkadelphia, 100.9 KDEL-FM Arkadelphia, 99.7 KWPS-FM Caddo Valley/Hot Springs, and 106.9 KYXK Gurdon AR to Broadcast Industry Group for $20,000. Broadcast Industry Group has been operating the stations via LMA since October 2018. The stations all carry the same Classic Rock “Arkansas Rocks” format along with the buyer’s 880 KLRG Sheridan/94.5 K233BF Greenbrier and 1190 KJJI White Hall/98.9 K255AX Pine Bluff.
