Pacific Media Group has relaunched Hawaiian “93.1 Da Pa`ina” KQMQ-FM Honolulu as “Hi 93“.
The rebranding matches Pacific’s similarly branded “Hi 92.5” KLHI-FM Kahului on Maui and “Hi 95” 95.9 KSRF Poipu on Kaua’i. The station will continue to focus on contemporary Hawaiian hit music from artists such as Common Kings, The Green and J Boog.
The station has debuted a new morning show hosted by “102.7 Da Bomb” KDDB morning co-hosts Rella and Steezy. The remainder of the lineup features Pu’unui in middays, Crystal Akana 2-7pm, and Phat Joe 7pm-12am.
With Rella and Steezy moving to KQMQ-FM, Keola Lui-Kwan will be joined by Phat Joe and former “US 99” WUSN Chicago evening host Kimmie Caruba for the rebranded “Keola Show”. Caruba exited WUSN last July and has also worked at KALV/KMLE Phoenix and WXXX Burlington VT.
