The assets of Southwind Broadcasting have been transferred to court ordered receiver Ron Metzinger after defaulting on payments owed to Central Plains Finance. Metzinger will be responsible for finding a buyer for the company’s eight stations in southwester Kansas including AC “Mix 94.5” KSKL Scott City, Country “Q97.3” KKJQ Garden City, CHR “Z98” 98.1 KSKZ Copeland, Rock “99.9 The Rock” KWKR Leoti, Regional Mexican “La Ke Buena 105.9” KSSA Ingalls, Classic Hits “KULY” 106.7 KHGN Hugoton and 1420 KULY/97.7 K249FI Ulysses,and Farm 1030 KBUF/107.1 K296HO Holcomb.
John Fredericks’ Disruptor Radio Network will acquire Conservative Talk 820 WNTW/92.7 W224EB Chester VA from Delmarva Educational Association for $240,000. Fredericks also owns Conservative Talk 100.5 WJFN Goochland VA under the name Maga Radio Network.
Randy Michaels’ Radioactive LLC sells Silent 105.7 KRMR Hays KS to Divine Mercy Radio for $52,000. KRMR was leased to Rocking M Radio as Conservative Talk “The Patriot” until last December. Catholic operator Divine Mercy Radio currently owns 88.1 KVDM Hays.
High Plains Radio Network continues its rapid sell-off of its assets. Blake Brewer’s Paragon Plus will purchase Regional Mexican “La Caliente” 92.5 KKRE Hollis, Classic Rock “102.7 The Big Dog” KJOK Hollis, and Country “B108” 107.9 KEYB Altus OK for $400,000 with an LMA taking effect on April 1. Paragon owns seven other stations in Elk City and Woodward OK.
Riverfront Broadcasting is expanding its Rapid City SD holdings with the acquisition of Full Service 980 KDSJ Deadwood from 4 Paws Broadcasting for $80,000. Riverfront owns five other stations in the Rapid City market.

Tyler Media acquires 95.3 K237GE Oklahoma City from Screen Door Broadcasting for $200,000 with a $45,000 advertising credit to be used on any Tyler Media property in the next five years. K237GE already rebroadcasts Conservatie Talk 1520 KOKC Oklahoma City.
Stephens Media Group has exercised its option to purchase 105.7 K289CB Los Banos CA from Mighty Media Group for $3500. Stephens and predecessor Mapleton Communications have leased the translator for $588.54 per month to rebroadcast Rock “105.7 The Bear” 1660 KBRE Merced since it commenced operation in its current location in June 2015.
