Peter ‘Kane’ Deibler is out as host of Premiere Networks’ syndicated The Kane Show.
The show originated at iHeartMedia CHR “Hot 99.5” WIHT Washington DC in November 2005 and is also heard on multiple stations including 93.3 WFLZ Tampa, “98.9 Kiss-FM” WNRW Louisville and “Z104.3” WZFT Baltimore. Kane previously worked at WWHT Syracuse and had two stints at WFLZ including a brief run as Program Director before joining WIHT. He also spent time as CHR Program Director for XM and hosted Open House Party. The show’s syndication beyond Washington and Baltimore began in 2012 when it replaced Todd ‘MJ’ Schnitt in mornings at WFLZ. Premiere then took the show national beyond iHeartMedia owned stations in 2014.
With Kane’s exit, the show has been renamed “Your Morning Show“. The remaining cast of The Kane Show remains in place with Intern John, Riley Couture, Rose, and Executive Producer Erick continuing on. The program will continue to be heard on WIHT, WFLZ, WNRW, and WZFT.
Kane’s weekly syndicated “Club Kane” that airs on Sunday nights on over 100 stations will end following the week of May 3. “Hot 99.5” Program Director Rob Kruz will serve as guest host until then.
This story will be updated as more information becomes available.
I could see Club Kane being replaced with a Sunday edition of Most Requested Live, which runs Saturday nights on many of the same stations.
No more Club Kane
