iHeartMedia has moved Hip-Hop “96.7 The Beat” WRDG Union City GA to the 105.3 WBZY Bowdon signal that most recently had been home to Spanish CHR “La Z” until its move to 105.7 WRDA last month.
The move upgrades the Hip Hop format from the Class A 96.7 signal to the C1 105.3 facility. Both stations rimshot Atlanta from the southwest, but WBZY reaching much more of the population.
“105.3 The Beat” will continue to feature the syndicated Breakfast Club in mornings, KQBT Houston’s Ashlee Young in middays, the locally based DJ Scream’s Hoodrich Radio in afternoons, and WGCI Chicago based Zach Boog in nights.
iHeartMedia Atlanta announced today that 96.7 The Beat, The ATL’s Home of The Breakfast Club, is moving to 105.3 FM, effective immediately.
