Beasley Media Detroit is seeking a new Operations Manager as Jerry ‘JT’ Tarrants has exited the company.
Tarrants joined the cluster as Program Director of Classic Rock 94.7 WCSX in 2013, added PD duties of Rock 101.1 WRIF following the exit of Mark Pennington at the start of this year, and added Operations Manager duties and oversight of Classic Hip Hop “105.1 The Bounce” WMGC, Adult R&B “105.9 Kiss-FM” WDMK and Gospel “Detroit Praise Network” following the departure of John Candelaria in March.
Prior to coming to Detroit, Tarrants was Operations Manager of Townsquare Media Grand Rapids where he programmed Rock 97.9 WGRD. He also programmed Rock “Z93” WKQZ and Classic Rock “Wheelz 104.5/100.9” WILZ/WYLZ Saginaw.
Beasley is seeking applicants for the position here. Among the skills being sought are: minimum of 5 years of programming experience, experience in PPM markets with history of success, high level of expertise with research and ratings data, and a deep understanding of the radio industry’s digital transformation.
