I3G Media flipped Sports “ESPN Jamestown” 1400 KQDJ/107.1 K296HH Jamestown ND to Soft AC “Jamestown 107.1“.
Northpine reports the flip took place at the start of the month and that the stations is positioning as “songs to make you feel good and relax”. The company previously programmed the format on “Sunny 98.3” KXGT from 2008-2012.
KQDJ (then KEYJ) is most notable for where Terry Ingstad (uncle of the station owners) began his on-air career as a 10 year old in 1957 and was spotlighted in Life Magazine as “The World’s Youngest DJ”. Terry would go on to be known famously by the on-air name ‘Shadoe Stevens’.
