Good News Media is expanding its holdings in Northern Michigan with the acquisition of Silent 105.5 WSRJ Honor/Traverse City (formerly “ESPN Northern Michigan” from Northern Broadcast. Good News Media will pay $205,000 plus receive $145,000 in gift receipt for WSRJ. WSRJ will join holdings that include Christian Preaching/Talk “The Source” 1400 WLJN/104.1 W281CG Traverse City and 1370 WLJW/100.7 W264DQ Cadillac, Christian Preaching 89.9 WLJN-FM Traverse City/107.9 WLJD Charlevoix, and Christian CHR “95.9 Fuel-FM” WLJW-FM Fife Lake/Traverse City. The deal will leave Northern Broadcast with just 92.5 WFDX Atlanta/Petoskey MI to complete its sell-off of its properties.
Michael Brandt’s Southern Broadcasting is purchasing 1150 WDTM and Rock “93.9 The Fox” WWGM Selmer TN from Grace Broadcasting Services for $250,000. Brandt has been operating the stations via Time Brokerage Agreement since January 2019 and also operates CHR “Hot 100” 100.7 WYDL Middleton TN in the region.
Bankruptcy trustee Philip Von Kahle sells Silent 93.7 WKEY-FM Key West FL to Spottswood Partners II for $15,000 to form a duopoly with their Silent 1600 WKWF/103.3 W277DX Key West. The remainder of the former Choice Radio Keys cluster was sold earlier this year with 1300 WFFG and 94.3 WGMX Marathon FL going to Joseph Nascone’s Great Marathon Radio Company for $35,000 and 96.9 WKEZ-FM Tavernier/Key West to Magnum Broadcasting for $100,000. WKWF itself went Silent in March when Florida Keys Media, who had been operating it, moved its Sports programming to 97.7 WAVK Cudjoe Key.

Latino Communications will purchase Mountain Community Translators’ 97.7 K249EX Denver for $50,000. K249EX has rebroadcast Latino’s Regional Mexican “Que Bueno 1280” KBNO Denver since its move to Denver in 2016.
Jeff Jennings’ Southwest Media Advertising acquires Tri-Star Media’s 100.1 K261EN Cedar City UT for $60,000. The deal lists Southern Utah University’s 91.1 KSUU Cedar City as originating station.
Holy Family Communications buys 88.5 W203AW Fredonia NY from Spirit Communications for $15,000. W203AW will rebroadcast Holy Family’s Catholic “Station of the Cross” 90.7 WLGU Lancaster/Buffalo NY.
Powell Meredith Communications sells the Construction Permit for 105.3 K287BP South Padre Island TX to Carlos Lopez for $30,000. Lopez will use the translator to rebroadcast Immaculate Heart Media’s Spanish Catholic 88.9 KJJF Harlingen TX.
