Saul Levine’s Mount Wilson Broadcasters has announced it is relaunching its Classical “K-Mozart” brand on 105.1 KKGO-HD4 Los Angeles and digitally.
The “K-Mozart” brand has been on and off of HD Radio subchannels of KKGO since the 2007 flip of KMZT to Country as “Go Country 105“. It was also heard on 1260 AM for a few months in 2007 and again from 2011-2016.
The relaunched brand will be fully hosted and feature personalities including Susanna Guzman hosting “The Best in Opera” and Nick Tyler’s “The Arts Reports”.
62 Years ago K-MOZART (then KBCA 105.1) on February 18, 1959, commenced broadcasting the World’s Greatest Music from high atop 6,000ft Mount Wilson on a Dark and Stormy Night.
K-MOZART is back with the same Ownership-Manager making it America’s Oldest Radio Station under same Ownership Management.

The press release is technically incorrect in that 105.1 was full-time contemporary jazz until KFAC was sold in 1989. For some reason I thought K-Mozart had always continued on a KKGO sub after 1260 went in a different direction…
