Within a matter of two weeks, Glens Falls NY has gone from zero to two Classic Country stations.
As first tipped in Sunday’s Domain Insight, Pamal flipped CHR “107.1 The Point” WKBE Cornith/Glens Falls to Classic Country “Big Country 107.1” at midnight. The launch follows Loud Media’s debut of the format on “K94.1” 94.1 WNYV Whitehall/Glens Falls and 1340 WVNR Poultney VT on July 25.
The flip of WKBE creates a flanker to co-owned Country “Froggy 100.3” WFFG-FM Warrensburg. “100.9 The Cat” WKLI-FM Albany afternoon host Kevin Richards will add mornings at WKBE. Richards had been tracking middays at WFFG-FM. Cluster General Manager Thomas Jacobsen will dust off his former ‘Jake Thomas’ on-air persona to host middays. “B95.5” WYJB Albany morning host Sean McMaster will add afternoons at WKBE, while WYJB PD/afternoon host Chad O’Hara will host nights.
