Following the restructuring of Entercom’s Alternative and Country stations last week, the new on-air lineups debuted this morning.
The lineups feature mostly regionalized morning shows, voicetrackers in middays, either local or regional hosts in afternoons, and national evening and overnight shows with “Alt 92.3” WNYL New York and 106.7 KROQ Los Angeles being the primary originating hubs.
Four morning shows will be regionalized. WNYL’s “Cane & Corey” will now be heard on WLKK Buffalo, WSFS Miami, WQMP Orlando and W285EJ Baltimore. KROQ’s “Stryker & Klein” adds KITS San Francisco, KVIL Dallas and KRBZ Kansas City. KXTE Las Vegas’ syndicated “Dave & Mahoney” will be heard on KBZT San Diego. KNDD Seattle’s Gregr will now be heard on KNRK Portland and KKDO Sacramento. The newly rebranded “Alt 102.1” WRXL Richmond retains the regionally syndicated Elliot in the Morning based at iHeartMedia’s “DC101” WWDC Washington DC.
Four talents will split middays across the format. WNYL’s Christine will be heard on WLKK, WRXL and W285EJ. KROQ afternoon host Megan Holiday will be heard on KBZT, KITS, KKDO, and KRBZ. KROQ midday host Nicole Alvarez adds KNDD, KNRK, KXTE, WQMP and WSFS. KVIL will remain local in middays with Bailey.
The majority of stations will remain local in afternoons. Ashley O moves from mornings at WSFS, Andy Hawk moves from off-air at KKDO, while Jeremy at KBZT, Dallas at KITS, Gustav at KNRK and James Steele at WQMP remain in places. In addition to tracking middays at four stations, KROQ afternoon host Megan Holiday will also be heard at KNDD in afternoons. The newly hired Chris Booker at WNYL will also add WLKK, WRXL and W285EJ. KRBZ’s “Church of Lazlo” adds KVIL and KXTE.
Kevan Kenney, evening host at WNYL, will host a national show on all fifteen stations in that timeslot, while WNYL APD/late night host Bryce Segall will host overnights nationally.
To coincide with the restructurings, Entercom also rebranded four of the stations to the “Alt” moniker as WLKK Buffalo, KRBZ Kansas City, KXTE Las Vegas, and WRXL Richmond dropped their former identities. KKDO and W285EJ, which had been jockless, will now have fully hosted presentations.
A few of the former staffers at these stations have moved to new positions within their clusters. WRXL Richmond Program Director Zack “Vaughn” McHugh will now host afternoons on AC “Mix 98.1” WTVR-FM filling the vacancy created by Zac Davis’ move to iHeartMedia Greensboro last month. WQMP Orlando midday host Mel shifts to Classic Hits “105.9 Sunny-FM” WOCL replacing Grace Vasquez. KRBZ MD/midday host Jeriney Fulcher will join the “Church of Lazlo” afternoon show.
