Sun Broadcasting Rock “93X” 93.7 WXNX Sanibel/Fort Myers FL has moved into a new formatic direction.
The station dropped its format at noon today and is now airing a current based Country format branded as “Trump Country 93.7” with imaging featuring a Donald Trump impersonator. WXNX will be joining a Country battle in the market that currently features Renda Broadcasting’s second ranked “101.9 Gator Country” WWGR and iHeartMedia’s “Cat Country 107.1” WCKT.
WXNX ranked sixteenth in the Fort Myers market with a 1.4 share in the August 2020 Nielsen Audio ratings. WWGR was second with a 6.2 share placing it behind Sun Conservative Talk “Fox News 92.5” WFSX-FM with its 7.4 share. WCKT was twelfth with a 2.3 share.
The “93X” format does not appear to be completely dead as the station posted a brief message stating it will soon resurface on a new frequency.

Yeah, real great job by them alienating a good portion of the audience. I know there’s that perpetual stereotype that country music listeners are hopelessly deep-red but come on.
