Salem Media sells Spanish Christian “Radio Luz” 1450 WKAT/101.9 W270CV Miami to Nelson Voltaire’s Radio Piment Bouk for $3.5 million. The deal includes the transmitter site that is home to WKAT and Voltaire’s Haitian “Radio Piment Bouk” 1360 WQVN North Miami as well as Entercom Sports “560 The Joe” WQAM Miami.
The deal also includes a license for the buyer to utilize the “Radio Luz” trademark of Salem’s as long as the station retains its current format and is not sold to a third party. An LMA will take effect on October 1.
The sale of WKAT marks Salem’s exit from Miami as the company http://$3.5 million“>previously sold WQVN (then the home of the WKAT call letters) to Voltaire in 2017 and then sold 880 WZAB and 1080 WQOS (at the time home of the WKAT calls) along with two stations in Tampa to Immaculate Heart Media for $8.2 million last year.
Horizon Christian Fellowship sells Silent 90.1 WJXP Fitchburg MA to Epic Light Network for $1. Epic Light Network owns Christian CHR “The Q” 90.1 WYQQ Charlton MA and 91.5 WSJQ Pascoag RI.
As part of a court settlement between the two parties, Louis Anzek will purchase the 50% stake of partner Susan McKenney from Fun Media Group and the company’s Classic Hits “Fun Radio 92.7” WAFN-FM Arab AL for $250,000 made in 60 monthly payments.
