VP Broadcasting has launched Conservative Talk “106.9 The Talk” 1600 WHOL/106.9 W295CR Allentown PA.
The station will feature a local morning show hosted by Joe Ligotti from 6-9am. Ligotti most recently hosted afternoons on Salem’s 950 WROL Boston and has also hosted weekends at 96.9 WTKK and a brief stint in mornings at 1510 WMEX in that market.
The remainder of the lineup will feature syndicated hosts Chad Benson from 9am-12pm, Dana Loesch from 12-3pm, Ben Shapiro 3-6pm and Mark Levin 6-9pm.
WHOL/W295CR had been simulcasting Spanish Tropical “La Mega” 1400 WEST Easton/92.9 W225CF Reading/101.7 W269DY Allentown/105.5 W288DS Easton and WLEV-HD2 Allentown. The new format brings a competitor to the market to iHeartMedia’s 790 WAEB Allentown, which currently has a 4.6 share in the September 2020 Nielsen Audio ratings.
