Rox Radio Group will purchase Hog Radio Inc’s Country “96.7 The Coyote” KCYT Fayetteville, Classic Hits “Star 101.5” KFMD-FM Greenland, Soft AC “Lite 106.5” KBVA Bella Vista, and 95.3 K237GR Greenland and co-owned Carroll County Broadcasting’s “ESPN NW Arkansas” 99.5 KAKS Goshen for $3 million. The four stations will join Rox’s existing holdings of 1190 KREB Bentonville-Bella/100.5 K263CB Springdale, “Red Dirt 106.1” 1250 KRRD/106.1 K291CK Fayetteville and 1390 KFFK Rogers/100.7 K264DA Bentonville. To add the Hog Radio stations, Rox Radio Group will divest Alternative “X104.9” KXNA Springdale to Elizabeth Marquis for $500,000.
Good Karma Broadcasting and Mike Crute are effectively trading stations in Wisconsin. Good Karma, which sold 1510 WRRD Waukesha/Milwaukee to Crute in 2017 for $760,000, will reacquire the station plus translator 101.7 W269DL Milwaukee for $388,921.12. Crute will retain a portion of the station’s tower land as it will be sold once WRRD’s application to downgrade the station to one tower is approved. Good Karma began leasing WRRD in September and will launch Black Talk “101.7 The Truth” by the end of the year.
Krute’s New WTTN LLC will convert its longstanding LMA of 1580 WTTN Columbus/92.7 W224EG Madison WI to a $363,921.12 purchase. Krute has operated the stations as Liberal Talk “Talk 92.7” since March 2018.
Ted Austin’s SW Montana Media acquires the Silent former cluster of Reier Broadcasting from receiver Richard Samson for $350,000. The stations involved in the deal are 1090 KBOZ Bozeman, 1230 KOBB Bozeman, 93.7 KOBB-FM Bozeman, 97.5 KOZB Livingston, and 99.9 KBOZ-FM Bozeman MT. As part of the deal, Austin will hold up the licenses for 580 KANA Anaconda/Butte and 100.9 KBOQ Lima MT as collateral.
Macon Urban Radio Alliance purchases Adult R&B “Kiss 105.1” 900 WYPZ Macon/105.1 W286CE Fort Valley GA from Sun Broadcasting. The buyer has been operating the station via Time Brokerage Agreement since January 2014. The sale was first filed in December 2014 for $125,000 and is being refiled.
Southern Torch Inc. purchases 1400 WFPA and the CP for 93.9 W230CX Fort Payne AL from Wallace Broadcasting Company for $15,000 and the costs associated with returning the station to the air before WFPA would’ve been deleted on October 26. WFPA is currently operating via STA from a temporary longwire antenna. The station went Silent in October 2019 after its landlord evicted the station from its studios and dismantled its tower. Southern Torch owns “Wild Country 98.3” WKEA-FM Scottsboro and
“101.7 The Torch” WMXN Stevenson AL.
Gary and Renee Tolbert acquire the licenses of WDLW Radio Inc. and WOBL Radio Inc. from Douglas Wilber for $10,000 and the station’s real estate for $480,000. The deal includes “Gold Country” 1320 WOBL/107.7 W299CJ Oberlin and “Kool Kat Oldies” 1380 WDLW/98.9 W255CW Lorain OH.
Rubin Broadcasting purchases 1320 KCUP Toledo OR for $25,000.
Common Frequency sells Community 91.5 KXCF Marshall CA to Open Sky Radio Corp. for $5,000.
