Afternoon host Paul Cook has exited Entercom Hot AC “Y98” KYKY St. Louis after nineteen years at the station.
During his tenure at KYKY, Cook battled and survived Stage 4 colorectal cancer in 2017. He also hosed a weekend show at News/Talk 1120 KMOX and was a morning news anchor at KMOV-TV. Prior to joining KYKY in 2001, Cook worked at KYSR Los Angeles.
Former “Now 96.3” KNOU afternoon host Dustin ‘Haze’ Monroe will slide into the same role at KYKY to succeed Cook. Haze joined KNOU in 2015 and was the last staffer remaining ahead of its flip to Adult R&B last week. He has previously worked at WDZH Detroit, WXSS Milwaukee, WZNR Norfolk and had a previous stint in St. Louis at “Z107.7” KSLZ. Haze is also currently heard on Entercom’s “105.1 The Buzz” KRSK Portland in middays and “106.5 The End” KUDL Sacramento at night.
I have some news…starting Monday, I will be making the move to Afternoons/Drive time at @Y98 here in St. Louis!
I most certainly have some pretty BIG shoes to fill & it's an honor to have the opportunity to work at such a legendary brand with a team of talented individuals. pic.twitter.com/Bd9yZI1nOY— HaZe (@HaZeOnAir) November 27, 2020
