Fitz In The Morning To Exit 98.9 The Bull Seattle

Lance Ventaby Lance Venta
December 4, 2020

98.9 The Bull KNUC Seattle Tim Leary Fitz ShowFitz In The Morning will exit Hubbard Radio Country “98.9 The Bull” KNUC Seattle in the coming weeks as Fitz moves towards focusing on his syndicated “Country Top 40” and creation of new projects.

Fitz joined KNUC in April 2019 after hosting mornings on Entercom’ “100.7 The Wolf” KKWF Seattle from 2005 through 2017. In between stations, he syndicated his show in mornings nationally. In January of this year his “Hit List with Fitz” countdown show was merged into “Bob Kingsley’s Country Top 40” in partnership with Hubbard, Skyview Networks and Nan Kingsley’s KCCS Productions.

“Fitz in the Morning” co-hosts Claire Beverly, Drew Brownfield, Bryant ‘Ryder’ Konold and Shade Giles all exit KNUC as well.

Hubbard Radio confirms that the Fitz In The Morning Daily show, will be ending in the next few weeks. Fitz will focus all of his efforts on Country Top 40 and the creation of new projects. Fitz is only the third host in the 45-year history of Country music’s longest-running national radio show and has just started writing the next chapter in one of the most storied brands in Country Music with 264 affiliates. Fitz said, “While I will dearly miss the daily interaction with my Seattle listeners, I’m truly excited to focus my attention on continuing the tradition of CT40 and bringing it into the next decade with fun, captivating new features, emotion, and remembering the stars of yesterday, while introducing the country stars of tomorrow- Taking CT40 into the next 40 years!”

Wheeler Morris, VP/Market Manager for Hubbard Radio Seattle states that “Over the past few years Fitz and his entire team have connected the new 98-9 The Bull with a growing audience and they will be missed.”

Brand/Content Director Scott Mahalick said, “We look forward to writing a new chapter for 98-9 The Bull next year, and are working on plans now. We are glad to continue being the flagship radio station for CT40 with Fitz, and look forward to him playing the HITS for years to come.”
