With one week left in its annual Christmas music run, iHeartMedia AC 99.5 WMAG High Point/Greensboro NC has jumped the gun on launching its new branding.
Now branding as “Mix 99.5“, the station will continue with Christmas music through next week before returning to its usual AC programming. No on-air staff changes will accompany the rebranding either with Lora Songster and Matt Pencola remaining in mornings, Kim Faris in middays, Chris Davis in afternoons, and Delilah at night.
The revamp of WMAG is the second in the cluster since the appointment of Zac Davis as Vice President of Programming in August. CHR “100.3 Kiss-FM” WMKS was relaunched as “Hits 100.3” in November.
HeartMedia Greensboro announced today the debut of the new MIX 99.5, effective immediately.
MIX 99.5 will continue to be the Triad’s Christmas Station playing Continuous Christmas Favorites. After Christmas, Mix 99.5 will broadcast a combination of popular hits from the 80s, 90s and today from the biggest artists including P!nk, Bruno Mars, Journey, Kelly Clarkson, Bon Jovi and more. The station will also feature top hosts and on-air personalities such as Lora Songster, Matt Pencola, Delilah, and Kim Faris, as well as themed segments like “I Love the 80’s Weekends,” where we highlight our deep library of fun, upbeat ‘80s titles that we’ve found our audience really enjoys.
