Nantucket Public Radio dropped its mix of Classical Music and Public News/Talk programming on Monday on 89.5 WNCK Nantucket MA and flipped to Country as “89.5 Quahog Country“.
WNCK is featuring a current based Country playlist with full-service elements. Elizabeth Bond is hosting mornings from 6am-12pm and Matt Ryan afternoons from 12-6pm. The station is operated along with co-managed commercial AAA “97.7 ACK-FM” WAZK, whose principals Jeff & Robert Shapiro also own Great Eastern Radio and their stations across New Hampshire and Vermont.
Nantucket still receives Public News/Talk programming from WGBH Boston’s “Cape & Islands Radio” 91.1 WNAN and Classical from 107.5 WFCC-FM Chatham.
