Original Report 12/31: As Gateway Creative Broadcasting prepares to move Christian Rhythmic “Boost Radio” programming to newly acquired 95.5 KXBS Bethalto IL/St. Louis from the trimulcast of 94.1 KPVR Bowling Green, 97.7 KHZR Potosi and 101.9 K270BW Bellefontaine MO on Monday, January 4, the station is currently in stunt mode.
KXBS is currently operating as “95.5 Jams” as a Rhythmic Hot AC with a mix of Pop, Dance, Freestyle and R&B with a focus on the 90s and 2000s. The purpose of the micro-format is to bridge the frequency’s former Adult R&B “95.5 The Lou” WFUN-FM format to the upcoming Christian Rhythmic programming. The stunt includes occasional sweepers counting down the days until the new launch.
What will happen to the 2 rimshots and the translator when this flip isn’t new anymore?
