The loss of two signals has resulted in a format shuffle and demise of a brand for Estrella Media in Houston.
Estrella lost the lease of the tower site of 850 KEYH Houston as of December 31 as its five tower array will be dismantled. 103.3 KJOJ-FM Freeport had its near 2000 foot tower collapse in a storm in mid-December.
To compensate for the loss of the two signals, the company has eliminated the Spanish Ranchera/Sports “La Ranchera” brand from the market. 101.7 KNTE Bay City has replaced KJOJ-FM as the west side simulcast for Regional Mexican “La Raza” 98.5 KTJM Port Arthur.
