Radio One’s recently launched Spanish Tropical “Latino 104.1” WLNO Waldorf MD/Washington DC has begun simulcasting on 87.7 WDCN-LD Fairfax VA while rounding out its weekday lineup with the addition of the Alex Sensation Show based at SBS’ “Mega 97.9” WSKQ New York in middays from 11am to 3pm.
The simulcast on the 87.7 signal began earlier this year replacing Costa Media’s competing “Que Onnda” brand. The signal expands WLNO’s coverage in Washington proper and Northern Virginia.
Sensation fills out a lineup that includes “Los Reyes de La Mañana” in mornings from 6-11am and “The Pedro Biaggi Show with Karen Vargas” from 3-7pm. Program Director Raul Lopez-Bastidas said, “Our team of top radio personalities is completed with the internationally renowned Alex Sensation, the master of all DJs. Alex Sensation has arrived to add more Salsa and the condiments to our varied programming.”
Urban One Audio Division Co-President Eddie Harrell Jr. commented, “I am thrilled that we have added a world class talent to a world class station. Alex Sensation is the perfect compliment to the strong line up we have on Latino 104.1/87.7FM.”
“Latino 104.1” had just a 0.1 share in the Holiday 2025 Nielsen Audio ratings. 87.7 WDCN-LD held a 0.7 share. Both trailed Audacy’s “El Zol 107.9” WLZL’s 1.6 share.
