Daryl O’Neal’s Township Media continues to expand its “Sun Radio” AAA network in Austin and surrounding areas. Township will purchase Classic Country 96.3 KGID-FM Giddings TX from KGID Inc. for $750,000. The station assets will make up $500,000 of the purchase price, while O’Neal’s Fortview Ventures will pay $250,000 for the associated real estate.
Educational Media Foundation agrees to buy Colonial Broadcasting Company’s Full Service AC/Oldies 870 WFLO and 95.7 WFLO-FM Farmville VA for $750,000. The stations cover rural areas of Virginia between Richmond and Lynchburg.
Iglesia Pentecostal Vispera del Fin makes multiple acquisitions. The Spanish Christian operator will purchase Silent 1310 KZXR/95.7 K237GY Prosser WA from Bustos Media for $175,000. In additional deals, Iglesia Pentecostal Vispera del Fin will purchase two stations from Edward Distell. They will pay $50,000 for Silent 1390 KZGD Salem OR and $20,000 for 1460 KCKX Stayton OR. The buyers operate the “La Estacion De Familia” network along with the co-owned Centro Familiar Cristiano.
Bustos Media purchases 105.7 KZGI Sedro-Woodley WA from Gerson Infante-Reina for $70,000. KZGI already airs Bustos’ Regional Mexican “La Gran D” programming.
While awaiting the donation of its license from Lazer Broadcasting, MMTC Broadcasting has sold 1310 KIQQ Barstow CA to Jeff Chang for $8500. Chang owns 1450 KQTE Helendale CA and multiple low power television stations.
