FCC Actions
After issuing a $3000 fine Imani Communications Corporation’s 105.3 WBFZ Selma AL in December for failing to timely file a license renewal, the FCC has reduced the penalty to $500. The FCC mistakingly stated that in addition to not filing the renewal application on time, WBFZ had not responded to the FCC’s Notice of Liability sent to them. WSFZ had responded admitting to its failure to file on time, but sent financial documents showing its inability to pay the proposed fine leading to the FCC reducing the penalty to $500.
