Midwest Communications flipped Classic Country “104.7 Duke-FM” KMJO Hope/Fargo ND to Classic Rock “104.7 The Bear“.
The station is positioning as “Classic Rock That Really Growls”. The format launched at 8:00am on Monday and is currently playing their library alphabetically with a playlist focusing on Classic Rock from the late 1960s through the 80s.
The new format positions the station between Radio FM Media Classic Rock “107.9 The Fox” KPFX and Classic Hits “106.9 The Eagle” KEGK. The now former Classic Country format had a 3.9 share in the Spring 2020 Nielsen Audio ratings, while KPFX was second in the market with a 7.8 share and KEGK was seventh at a 4.4.
