Flinn Broadcasting continues its rapid series of format changes at its Memphis cluster with the flip of Alternative “I96” 96.3 W242CF Memphis/107.5 WHBQ-HD2 to CHR “B96.3“.
Positioned as “Hit Music Now”, the move restores a CHR brand to the Flinn cluster following the September flip of 107.5 WHBQ from CHR to Classic Hits last September. The new brand will compete against iHeartMedia’s “101.9 Kiss-FM” KWNW, which had a 0.8 share in the December 2020 Nielsen Audio ratings.
The new brand launched at 3pm today with Justin Bieber/Chance The Rapper’s “Holy”, The Weeknd “Blinding Lights”, and Ava Max “Kings and Queens”.
Since the WHBQ-FM flip in September, Flinn has also flipped Classic Hip Hop “Bumpin 104.1” 1240 WMSO Southaven MS/104.1 W281BR Memphis after just five months to a mix of Adult R&B and Gospel as “The Trend on WAVN“ and 87.7 WPGF-LP Memphis flipped to Classic Rock “Drake Hall Memphis Radio“ after stunting as “Santa 87.7“.
