Michael Holderfield’s Boll Weevil Communications has flipped Classic Country “Weevil 101” 101.1 WVVL Elba/Enterprise AL to a simulcast of recently acquired Sports “The Ball” 560 WOOF/100.1 W261AT/107.1 W296DQ Dothan.
Holderfield acquired WOOF and AC 99.7 WOOF-FM Dothan AL last October for $1.2 million. The flip expands WOOF’s FM coverage in Southeast Alabama although WOOF was already heard in Enterprise on the 107.1 translator.
The Ball’s lineup includes a local morning show from 7-9am hosted by Lance Griffin and “The Huddle” hosted by Gary Gibson and John Daniel from 12-2pm. The stations carry ESPN’s regional Paul Finebaum in afternoons and Fox Sports Radio in other dayparts.
