After being delayed from its planned April 1 launch by technical issues, GCJH Inc. launched Variety Hits “X102.3” WGTX Truro MA over the weekend.
WGTX is positioning as “Cape Cod’s Music Channel” promoting a playlist of the 1970s through now. The new format is launching with a lineup of full of known Boston and Cape Cod area personalities. Former 106.1 WCOD morning co-host Stephanie Viva will host “& Stephanie” in mornings. Coady will follow in middays. Longtime Boston host Diana ‘Lady D’ Steele will host afternoons.
Original Report 3/30: Gary Hanna’s GCJH Inc. has closed on its $180,000 purchase of Oldies “102.3 The Dunes” WGTX Truro MA and has begun stunting ahead of a relaunch on Thursday, April 1 at 6am.
In sweepers voiced by longtime Boston personality Ed McMann and playing diverse songs, WGTX is teasing multiple format possibilities. The station will be rebranding as “X102.3” with the station’s social media teasing “Cape Cod’s Music Channel” as the future positioning.
