Flood Communications flipped its two stations in Sidney NE to new formats this morning.
Hot AC “98.7 Sky-FM” KSID-FM has flipped to Country as “98.7 The Big Boy“. The name of the station comes from the Union Pacific Railroad steam locomotive that ran through Sidney. Station Manager/morning host Hunter Arterburn told NewsChannel Nebraska, “It’s a new country music format this area hasn’t experienced before. Everything from production to the DJs, and programming, you will hear 24 hours a day, 7 days a week is designed to be upbeat, positive and make you feel good. It’s a ‘roll down your windows and cruise the backroads’ type of radio station.” The station will also carry University of Nebraska football coverage.
Country “95.7 The Fort” 1340 KSID/K239BE Sidney shifted to Classic Country as “Cheyenne County Country” with Randy Brown in mornings. The station is positioning “We’re Old As Dirt”. KSID will continue to carry local high school sports and University of Nebraska sports.
