Spanish Broadcasting System has announced the promotion of Chief Operating Officer Albert Rodriguez to President of the company.
Rodriguez will continue to serve as COO as well under Chairman/CEO Raúl Alarcón, Jr., who relinquishes the Presidential duties and title. Rodriguez joined the company in 1999 as General Sales Manager of the company’s Miami radio stations. He became GM of the company’s Miami television station in 2010 adding Chief Revenue Officer for the company’s entire television division the following year and was then promoted to COO in May 2012.
Spanish Broadcasting System, Inc. Mr. RodrÃguez will retain his current title of Chief Operating Officer and will report to Mr. Alarcón, who will continue in his position as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.
As President, Mr. Rodriguez’s duties will include managing all aspects of SBS’ operations and overseeing the future growth and financial performance of the Company’s radio, TV, digital and experiential businesses and market-leading brands.
