After dropping its legacy “Y93” brand after 46 years to stunt as “Christmas 92.9” since early November, iHeartMedia has flipped KYYY Bismarck ND to AC “Mix 92.9“.
Positioning as “Variety From The 80s To Today”, KYYY is running iHeart’s national AC music log that debuted with Timbaland “Apologize”, Pat Benatar “Hit Me With Your Best Shot”, and Ed Sheeran “Bad Habits”. The move gives the Bismarck market an Adult Contemporary formatted station for the first time since 107.5 KXRV flipped to Classic Hits “Mojo 107.5” in 2011 and KYYY moved to Hot AC and then back to CHR the following year.
KYYY had ranked 12th in the Bismarck market with a 2.9 share in the Spring 2021 Nielsen Audio ratings.
