Westwood One has informed affiliates that the nightly CHR focused Zach Sang Show has come to an end.
Affiliates were notified this week that regular fill-in ‘Johnny O’ will host the show for the next two weeks before a new show “Elliot and Nina” debuts on Monday, January 17. In describing the new show, Westwood One states, “We are excited to be launching Elliot and Nina on Monday January 17th! They are two highly successful major market talents that will be taking the reins in 2022! The show will be LIVE, and will focus on the listeners, real life issues and social media connection.” The new hosts have yet to be named.
Sang launched the nightly show, originally called “Zach Sang and the Gang”, in 2012 at the age of nineteen. He previously hosted a similar show for defunct internet start-up Goom Radio and worked for Nickelodeon’s streaming audio channel.
