Positioning as “Country Legends”, the new format is focusing on Country hits from the 1970s through 90s. The move places W296BS in direct format competition with iHeartMedia’s “US 96.9” 680 WINR Binghamton/96.9 W245BV Endwell.
The station joins a crowded Country marketplace in Binghamton with Townsquare Media Country “98.1 The Hawk” WHWK registering a 13.4 share in the Fall 2021 Nielsen Audio ratings. iHeartMedia Country “B107.5” WBBI held a 1.0 share, while WINR/W245BV’s Classic Country had a 0.5 share.
