Grace Media Services launched Regional Mexican “La Poderosa 105.3” WTJK Humboldt/Jackson TN on Wednesday.
The new station will feature Univision’s syndicated El Bueno, La Mala y El Feo in mornings from 6-9am and El Free Guey from 11am-3pm. A local show hosted by Rogelio Garcia and Elvia Trejo will air from 9-11am and repeat from 4-6pm.
In a statement announcing the new launch, Grace Media Corporate Director Tim November wrote, “We are proud of the addition of La Poderosa in that this is part of Jackson’s history as the first Latino radio station, and that we are providing a voice for upward of 30,000 Latinos in our listening area. We will be able to provide information on resources which help those in need and serve as a way for small business owners in the Latino community to reach out to potential customers.
The “Fox Sports Jackson” programming that had been heard on WTJK has moved to 1190 WJPJ Humboldt/99.9 W260BA Clarksburg.
