A report on former sister station 1400 WZFC (formerly WINC) Winchester states that Jones, who owns two local funeral homes, was brought to the deal by WZFC owner Todd Bartley and that additional acquisitions are forthcoming.
Family Life Ministries will purchase CHR “94 Rock” WLVY Elmira NY from Gordon Ichikawa’s Tower Broadcasting for $450,000 and 106.5 W293CE Bath NY. The $450,000 will be allocated as $280,000 in cash and $170,000 as a charitable donation to Family Life. The deal gives Family Life its third signal in the area, but strongest in Elmira for its network also heard on 97.7 WCIG Big Flats and 104.9 WCIM Montour Falls. Tower will still own two AMs, one FM and four translators in the Elmira/Corning market and now an AM, FM and two translators in Bath.
Patricia Feijo’s DCO Holdings has sold Talk 540 KYAH Delta UT to James Feijo’s KYAH LLC for $100 and the cancellation of debt owed. Ahead of the deal, KYAH has gone silent “resolving an ownership issue prompted by the death of a DOC Holding, LLC member”.
