SummitMedia Hip Hop “95.7 Jamz” WBHJ Midfield/Birmingham AL has announced the addition of KaShauna ‘K Samone’ Williams as midday host.
Samone joins WBHJ from serving as a producer and weekend host at Radio One Hip Hop “Hot 107.9” WHTA Atlanta since 2018. She has also worked for Radio One Philadelphia as a producer and marketing specialist and in promotions and digital content for Entercom Norfolk. Samone also serves as a writer for Sheen Magazine.
‘On The Phone with K Samone’ will air from 9am to 2pm weekdays. She takes the midday slot that had been held by former Program Director Nicole ‘NuYork’ Prempeh until her move to afternoons at MediaCo Adult R&B 107.5 WBLS New York in July.

K.Samone comes to SummitMedia Birmingham from Radio One Atlanta, where she hosted “On the Phone With K.Samone” on Hot 107.9 (WHTA) and served as a digital content curator. Prior to that she produced shows for WPHI, WRNP and WPPZ at Radio One Philadelphia.“I am thrilled to be a part of such a legendary station with a phenomenal team. A self-proclaimed ‘Lady of Media,’ K.Samone has also had stints as a sideline reporter and producer for NNPS-TV in Norfolk, Va., a role in the first season of ‘Thou Shall Not’ on TV One and a correspondent for Sheen Magazine.“K.Simone bring great energy and experience to the 95.7 Jamz team,” said Maurice DeVoe, WBHJ Program Director and SummitMedia’s Rhythmic Top 40 Brand and Content Leader. “We’re lucky to have her here in Birmingham.”
