The owners of My Broadcasting Corporation, which owns sixteen stations across fourteen markets in Ontario, are acquiring a station across the border.
Jon Pole and Andrew Dickson will acquire Border International Broadcasting, Inc. and its CHR “Kiss 102.7” WLYK Cape Vincent NY for $325,000. Pole and Dickson are the co-founders of My Broadcasting Corporation and serve as President and Executive Vice President respectively.
Rogers Sports & Entertainment owns a 20% stake in the seller and currently operates the station as part of its Kingston ON cluster with “Country 93.5” CKXC-FM and Rock “K-Rock 105.7” CIKR-FM. The other 80% is currently held by WCDO/WCDO-FM Sidney NY owners David Mance, Jack Clancy, and Craig Harris.
The majority of My Broadcasting’s stations feature an AC or Classic Hits format branded as “My-FM“. Kozacko Media Service’s George Kimble served as broker of the deal, which has not yet been filed with the FCC.
Note: An earlier version of this story noted that My Broadcasting was purchasing the station directly based on the information given in the press release.
