iHeartMedia Classic Rock 101.5 KGB-FM San Diego has announced the addition of afternoon host Clint August to its morning show.
August will join incumbent co-hosts Sarah Beebe and Chris Boyer for “KGB Mornings with Sarah, Boyer and Clint”. Beebe and Boyer remain from the previous “DSC Show” following the retirements of Dave Rickards and Cookie ‘Chainsaw’ Randolph in December. Beebe served as producer of The DSC since 2017 at 100.7 KFMB-FM and KGB-FM and has previously worked in the market at 95.7 KUSS and KSSX, 93.3 KHTS-FM, and 90.3 XHITZ along with a previous stint on the KGB morning show from 2009 to 2013. Boyer had been part of “The DSC” at all their previous stops since the show’s launch in 1990.
August has spent time in both afternoons and middays at KGB-FM, with previous stints in the market as part of the morning show at Alternative “91X” XETRA-FM and afternoons on iHeart’s “Rock 105.3” KIOZ. He also hosted a home improvement show on sister News/Talk 600 KOGO.
Former NFL player, Rich Ohrnberger, who co-hosts mornings at sister “San Diego Sports 760” KGB, will join the show for hourly sportscasts.
iHeartMedia San Diego’s 101.5 KGB FM, San Diego’s Classic Rock, announced today the debut of “KGB Mornings with Sarah, Boyer and Clint,” starting Monday, January 23, 2023. “KGB Mornings with Sarah, Boyer and Clint” will broadcast weekdays from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
The new show will team longtime 101.5 KGB-FM afternoon drive personality, Clint August with two former members of the legendary “DSC” morning show, Sarah Beebe and Chris Boyer. The trio will co-host a morning show that helps San Diegans start their day with a good dose of humor, their favorite classic rock, the latest news and sports reports from former NFL offensive guard, Rich Ohrnberger.
Clint August has been a fixture in San Diego radio for the past 24 years. He got his start in broadcasting as a morning show sidekick known for making crank calls with his spot-on impersonations of popular celebrities. Clint is an avid motorcyclist and active supporter of military causes, which lead him to create an annual motorcycle ride and event to benefit Home Front San Diego.
