Midwestern Broadcasting Company CHR “Z93” WJZQ Cadillac/Traverse City MI completed its revamp this morning with a shift to a broader playlist repositioning as “Hits From The 90s To Now”.
The first few songs after the relaunch were N’Sync “Tearing Up My Heart”, Black Eyed Peas “I Got A Feeling”, Christina Aguilera “Come on Over Baby”, Vanilla Ice “Ice Ice Baby”, Pussycat Dolls “Buttons”, and Juvenile “Back That Thang Up”.
The station continues to feature Ron & Rehmer in mornings from 6-10am, Program Director Bill ‘Broadway’ Bertschinger in middays, and Allie in evenings. The station is currently featuring ‘Heather B’ Backman tracking afternoons. Other new elements include a Friday night Classic Hip Hop show and a Saturday hour featuring listener hosted submitted playlists.
WJZQ had a 2.0 share in the Fall 2022 Nielsen Audio ratings in Traverse City trailing MacDonald Garber Broadcasting’s competing “106 KHQ” WKHQ’s 4.9 share.

WJZQ is running promos teasing “changes are coming” with the station playing “Today’s Best Hits (For Now)”. A “World Premiere” will take place on the 1st at 9:29am under new Program Director/midday host Bill ‘Broadway’ Bertschinger. Broadway joined WJZQ in November after a six month stint programming crosstown CHR “106 KHQ” 105.9 WKHQ Charlevoix.
Also ahead of the changes, afternoon host AJ Guertin has departed the station.
