Greg Chance Returns To iHeartMedia As SVP/Programming For Des Moines, St. Louis, Indianapolis & North Dakota

Lance Ventaby Lance Venta
March 20, 2023

iHeartMedia iHeart iHeartCommunicationsFour years after exiting iHeartMedia to join his family’s Diamond Oil business, Greg Chance is returning to the company as Senior VP/Programming for Des Moines, St. Louis, Indianapolis, and North Dakota.

Chance previously spent two decades with the company first as OM/PD of “107.5 Kiss-FM” KKDM Des Moines from 1999-2008 before rising to cluster OM and then SVP/Programming for Iowa region in 2012 and Regional SVP in 2016. He has spent the past four years as SVP of Marketing and Business Developement for Diamond Oil, Freezers Sports Bar, and GreenMail.

Chance succeeds his successor Jeff Cage in leading the company’s region based in Des Moines.

iHeartMedia announced today that Greg Chance has been named Senior Vice President/Programming for Des Moines, St. Louis, Indianapolis and the North Dakota Area, effective immediately. iHeartMedia has a strong cross-platform presence and includes a number of iconic brands and franchises — both broadcast and digital — encompassing more than 20 stations in these markets, comprised of music, talk and news formats.

iHeartMedia has the leading consumer reach and influence across multiple platforms and delivers more live programming than any other media company. As SVPP, Greg will be responsible to lead the programming teams in all markets.

“Greg is an incredible programmer,” said Maynard, Executive Vice President/Programming, iHeartMedia. “We’re thrilled to have him back in the company.”

Greg joins iHeartMedia from Diamond Oil, where he most recently served as a Vice President. This role marks his return to the company, as he previously served as a Program Director and Senior VP/Programming for iHeartMedia for more than 17 years, launching KKDM (Kiss FM) in Des Moines in 1999.

“I am profoundly humbled that iHeart would allow me this opportunity,” Chance said. “I look forward to reuniting with my past colleagues and meeting new colleagues in the immediate future. This gives me a sense of peace and I’m extremely flattered and grateful. I look forward to diving back into all of these brands and vetting all the new ones. To say that I am excited to return, would be an understatement.”
