After agreeing in November 2020 to acquire 1580 KBLA Santa Monica/Los Angeles CA, Tavis Smiley’s Smiley Radio Properties has filed their purchase of the station from Multicultural Radio Broadcasting.
Instead of the $7.15 million price announced then, Smiley will pay an adjusted $6,896,760. Smiley launched his Black Talk format on KBLA in June 2021 via LMA.
